Requesting link exchanges with other members
Welcom to InfoWizards Link Exchange and Webmaster Tools!
In order to request link exchange trades from other members you must first create an account (if you don't already have one).
Once your account is created you can browse through our members listings by category.

1. Click on the icon (shown above) to add this member to your queue. You can add multiple listings to your queue for requesting a link exchange from them later.
2. Once you are done you can process your queue so your link requests can be sent out. We run our emailers every night to avoid heavy mail server traffic so your queued link exchange requests will be sent during off-peak hours. Once your request has been recieved the member will then (some webmasters take longer than others to get to their link requests) accept or decline your request.

3. Select the domain you would like to use for the link request and submit. This will add your request to 'our' queue for the nightly emailers to send. This email gets send out during off-peak hours. You can then view all of your pending link requests by clicking on Pending Links to view requests you are waiting on.
That's it!
Once you've requested a link...
You should wait until the member has actually accepted your link exchange request before placing any links up. When the member accepts your link trade it will say so when you 'view' the transaction in your 'Pending' section. It will also display a field where you can enter the link-back location to their web site.
DO NOT place the pending items into your history until you've either heard a response or have given up on the member's reply otherwise you will remove it from your pending section.
A few things to consider...
When you trade links
you should focus on trading links with sites that are similar to your web site or industry. Links from non-related web sites can actually hurt your efforts more than help. Search engines look at the links it finds to your web site and determines a theme based on its findings and will score your web site according to those findings. If you have a web hosting company with 1000 links from ecommerce type web sites it may not help you as much as having link-backs from web design, hosting and related web sites.
